Toby Wood, aged 22, of Edremony Estate, Port Erin, appeared in summary court again this week charged with raping a woman at gunpoint.
We previously reported that Mr Wood was arrested on November 7.
It is alleged that he held a gun to the back of the woman’s neck after jumping in the back seat of her car.
He is then accused of forcing her to drive to Ballamaddrell Estate before walking her to a field near Rushen Football Club and raping her.
He is yet to enter a plea to the offence, which can only be heard at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
He was represented in court by advocate David Reynolds who has said that his client denies having a gun and claims that sex was consensual.
Mr Wood will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on January 12 next year.
He will appear in summary court again via video link from the prison on December 15 when the case is due for mention.
He was previously denied bail last week by Deputy High Bailiff Chris Arrowsmith.
No further application for bail was made and he is remanded in custody.
