A Glen Vine man will stand trial after being accused of punching another man in a street brawl.

Thirty-two-year-old Nathan Thomas Kelly, of Bollan Drive, entered a not guilty plea to an offence of common assault during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse on Tuesday.

Police were called to Melbourne Street in Douglas just after 1.30am on July 23 to reports that members of a wedding party were fighting in the street.

A pre-trial review will take place on October 3. He has been bailed until that date.
