A man this week admitted brandishing a hammer in a pub car park and smashing car windows.
Joe Yeardsley, aged 20, of Bay View Terrace, Laxey, pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing an offensive weapon, provoking behaviour and destroying property.
Damage had also been caused to a Citroen Berlingo in the pub car park.
A witness said they heard glass smashing in the car park and saw a man running away from the vehicle which had four windows broken.
CCTV footage viewed later showed Yeardsley holding a pick axe style hammer and acting aggressively in the car park.
He had left the area but was arrested on January 6. The court heard that Yeardsley had no previous convictions.
The case was adjourned until March 13 at the request of his advocate Deborah Myerscough to allow time for the preparation of a probation report before sentencing.
Bail was granted, with conditions that Yeardsley live at his home address and not enter the Manor pub.
