A 32-year-old Douglas man has admitted possessing cannabis and ecstasy.

Lee Michael Baker, of Loch Promenade, will be sentenced on December 7 after the preparation of a probation report.

The court heard how, on February 14 at 1.44pm police attended Baker’s flat on Douglas promenade. A search was conducted which found six tablets, suspected of being ecstasy, and wraps of green vegetable matter, thought to be cannabis.

When interviewed Baker told police he bought the drugs on New Year’s Eve while he was intoxicated and had put the ecstasy to one side, and forgotten about it.

An analysis confirmed the drug as ecstasy with a street value of between £10 and £15 per tablet. The cannabis was valued at £6.

The court heard that Baker was still subject to a six-month suspended sentence, suspended for two years, imposed in March 2016.

Bail was granted in the sum of £250.
