A 26-year-old Douglas man has admitted offering to supply ecstasy and cannabis.

Henry Sui-Hang Tung, of Peveril Street, was committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery where he will be sentenced on a date to be decided.

Prosecutor Mark Benson told the court police attended Tung’s home on May 11, 2017.

Tung gave them access to his mobile phone and a number of drug-related messages were found.

Messages mentioned Tung attending an address in Belmont Terrace, in Douglas, with pills.

Other messages showed him offering three types of MDMA (ecstasy).

Mr Benson said it had been suggested that Tung may have been supplying drugs to friends to fund his own addiction.

’It is plain he was involved in the supply of drugs for profit, even if it was to friends,’ he said.

Defence advocate Deborah Myerscough argued against sending the case to the higher court for sentencing.

Tung pleaded guilty to two counts of offering to supply drugs.
