A man and woman have appeared in court via video link from the prison charged with importing more than £29,000-worth of cannabis to the island.
Lisa Kim Barnett, aged 43, of Marathon Road, Douglas, pleaded guilty to attempting to possess cannabis with intent to supply, being concerned in the production of cannabis to the island, and being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Christopher Peter Corkill, aged 44, of Marathon Road, Douglas, pleaded not guilty to the same three charges.
Prosecuting advocate James Robinson said that the allegations related to 992.1 grams of cannabis, valued at £29,763.
Mr Corkill will be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on April 13 where he will face a trial on a future date. An application for bail was refused by magistrates.
Barnett will also be committed on the same date for sentencing.
She made no application for bail.
