A 45-year-old man from St John’s has admitted possessing £680 worth of cocaine.
Bernard Pearse Leavey, of Main Road, will be sentenced on April 7 after a probation report has been prepared.
The court heard he is currently still on licence in relation to a previous sentence.
Prosecuting advocate Hazel Carroon told the court that a search warrant was executed at an address in Woodbourne Road in Douglas on October 25.
Leavey was present and told police that he had drugs on him.
A wrap of white powder was found in his pocket which was later confirmed as cocaine weighing 6.8 grams.
The court heard that Leavey is on licence until 2023.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered the probation report consider all options including custody and reserved the right to still commit him to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing after the report has been completed.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500 with conditions that Leavey reside at his home address and contact probation.
