A man has been fined £200 after a row in the Ramsey branch of Isle of Man Bank.
Andrew Raymond Moughtin, aged 29, of North Shore Road, Ramsey, admitted threatening behaviour.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the court how, on August 29, Moughtin went into the Parliament Street branch.
He tried to withdraw funds using a card that was not in his name but was told by staff they would have to retain it.
This sparked Moughtin’s anger as he swore at them saying: ’Give me my card back. I want my card.’
Police attended Moughtin’s home but he refused to attend for a voluntary interview.
Defence advocate Rebecca Cubbon said: ’Mr Moughtin’s partner, who is here today, was ill and unable to get out of the house. He is allowed to draw funds. He had gone to the bank knowing there are bills to be paid. He became a bit panic stricken that their means of paying things was taken away.’
