A man has admitting drug-trafficking charges.

Ross O’Neill, aged 31, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply, acquiring criminal property namely around £8,000 in cash, possession of class ’C’ drugs mirtazapine and diazepam.

Prosecutor Roger Kane told the court that O’Neill was arrested while in a vehicle at Old River Road in Ramsey.

Cocaine weighing 57 grams was found in the car along with the cash and 249 grams of creatine.

It was said that the creatine was likely to be used as an adulterant to mix with the cocaine.

O’Neill was said to be waiting for the tide to turn so that he could sail to Scotland.

He was committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing on June 17.

He made no bail application.
