A 25-year-old man has pleaded guilty to breaching the Emergency Powers Act by being absent from his usual place of residence.
Liam Priestnal, of Lhennagh Park in Douglas, admitted that he was absent from his permanent residence on April 16 when he appeared in court on Saturday.
Meanwhile, he pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of obstructing an officer in their duties.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the court that Priestnal was seen entering a house on Hillside Avenue in Douglas on April 16.
As people in the Hillside Avenue address have tested positive for coronavirus, officers who entered the property were required to wear personal protective equipment.
Priestnal’s application for bail was rejected by Deputy High Bailiff Chris Arrowsmith.
Mr Arrowsmith said sentencing for the Covid offence would take place when the other matter had been dealt with.
Priestnal was remanded in custody until May 5 for a pre-trial review.
