A man who was jailed for a string of offences has admitted breaching the terms of an early release from prison.
Christopher James Christian, aged 32, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years’ custody in May 2017 for burglary, dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and having no insurance.
He was released with conditions to live at probation accommodation David Gray House and abide by its regulations.
However, police were informed that Christian had returned to David Gray House on April 6 at 8.25pm and was intoxicated. He then refused to enter the premises before running off.
The court heard that Christian has been the subject of two public police appeals regarding his whereabouts.
A bail application was submitted by his defence advocate Deborah Myerscough saying that her client was prepared to abide by a curfew and report to a police station regularly.
However, Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes refused the bail application and Christian was remanded in custody.
The case was adjourned until June 19.
