Police in the Caribbean are searching for a well-known Manx lawyer who has gone missing.
Seventy-year-old Mark Moroney has been missing since Sunday evening from his home in the Chocolate Hole area of St John in the US Virgin Islands.
According to police, he had gone outside about 8pm to retrieve a flashlight from his car during a power cut - and has not been seen since.
The St John Community Foundation said a reward is being offered for information.
Island advocate Paul Beckett posted on the Foundation’s Facebook page: ’Thoughts and prayers for dear Mark from the Isle of Man where he practised for many years.
’A gentle soul and a brilliant mind.’
Mr Moroney had a long and distinguished career at the Manx bar and founded the law firm Moroneys.
