A family-run cafe in Ballasalla has announced it has closed after eight years.

Kelly’s Cafe, which is based in Balthane Industrial Estate in Ballasalla, announced it would be closing its doors on Friday January 9 due to ‘ever rising running costs and a lack of trade’.

A spokesperson from the cafe commented: ‘It is with great regret that we have made the very difficult decision to close the cafe after eight years.

‘We are putting the business up for sale as it is, but also selling various items individually with a variety of pictures to follow.

‘We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for their many years supporting the cafe.’
