Port Erin lifeboat was called out last night (Thursday) to help a teenager on the Calf of Man who was suffering chest pains.

The lifeboat took a paramedic to the Calf to give the casualty medical attention and then brought him back to Port Erin jetty where he was transferred to a waiting ambulance.

Port Erin lifeboat was launched at about 10.40pm after the crew was paged about the reported medical emergency on the Calf.

Volunteer lifeboat crew members treated the casualty throughout the return trip to Port Erin.

He was then taken to Noble’s hospital for further assessment.
