Three former Isle of Man airport workers who stole nearly £47,000 worth of post have been sent to prison.
According to the statement of offence, between January 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015, the trio ’conspired together and with other persons unknown’ to steal from the post, believed to be Royal Mail Special Delivery items, electronic devices including mobile phones and tablets with a total value of £46,363.84.
Sentencing
The three men were sentenced when they appeared before the Court of General Goal Delivery.
Carrington, aged 48, received the longest sentence, being jailed for 15 months.
Moffatt, also 48, was jailed for three months and Naughton, 46, was sent to prison for six months.
