A Douglas man has appeared in court again after admitting possessing indecent images of children.
Jonathan Heard, aged 46, of Loch Promenade, has previously pleaded guilty to four counts of the charge after two devices belonging to him had been examined and images categorised by police.
Images are categorised using the Copine scale. The scale is used to assess the severity of images using a rating of one to five, with five being the most severe.
We previously reported how one device was found to contain 617 images at level one, 37 at level two, three at level three, 85 at level four, and two at level five.
Analysis of a second device revealed 349 images at level one, eight at level two, 19 at level three, 94 at level four, and four at level five.
On Tuesday, prosecuting advocate Hazel Carroon said, so far, 29 devices belonging to Heard had been examined by police and seven found to contain indecent images of children of some degree. Five of seven memory sticks were said to contain indecent images of children.
Ms Carroon said one memory stick had 100,000 images on it but not all were indecent and this was still being examined. It is hoped that all images will have been examined and categorised by January 31.
The case was adjourned until January 7 when a further update on progress will be given. Heard was remanded in custody.
