Ramsey coastguards helped an owner of a dog that was in urgent need of veterinary care.

On Saturday (October 20) the rescue team received a call at 2.20pm to help a member of the public on Ramsey beach.

Driving along the beach in the service’s Land Rover the team located the dog and its owner.

They drove them back along the beach to the owner’s car for the dog to be taken to the vet immediately.

The team then returned to the station ready for service again just after 3pm.

A spokesman said: ’We wish the dog well and hope they are ok now.

’In a coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for coastguard.’
