Police are investigating a car crash in Douglas in which one man was injured while two others fled the scene.

A silver Peugeot crashed at Westmoreland Road near to the junction with Princess Street, Douglas, at about 9.45pm last night (Monday).

One male was arrested and received treatment for injuries at hospital.

But two others who were also in the vehicle at the time and dressed in dark clothing fled from the vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed what happened or know who these other individuals is urged to contact police headquarters on 631212.

Meanwhile, traffic signals damaged in a crash the previous day at the junction of Westmoreland Road and Circular Road have now been reinstated.

Motorists have been urged to approach the junction with care until all signal heads and a pedestrian demand unit are fully operational.
