Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a passing car.

The incident happened about 2.30pm on Saturday (May 11) on Peel Road, Douglas in the area of Ashlar Drive.

Police said a woman was walking her dog in the direction of Union Mills when she was struck on the right arm by a passing red coloured Renault Captur.

She was left with a ’soft tissue injury’, said the police.

Police are urging the driver to come forward and contact Constable Sanderson at Douglas police headquarters on 631212.
