The police are appealing for information after two walls were knock over last week.

In both cases, a car is believed to have hit the walls and failed to stop or report the collision.

The first crash happened between 10pm on Sunday August 2 and 6am on August 3 on the Foxdale Road.

Officers said that ’a vehicle has collided with a stone wall causing £1,000 worth of damage and made off from the scene’.

The second incident happened between 4pm on Saturday August 1 and 10am on Monday August 3 at on the Dalby Road.

Again officers said that the ’a vehicle has collided with a stone wall causing thousands of pounds worth of damage before making off from the scene.’

A spokesman said: ’These two incidents are believed to be linked and have left the land owners out of pocket and having to pay out to repair the damage.
