Police are appealing for information after a number of sheep went missing.
Five sheep has been reported missing from land at St Mark's.
A police statement said: ’The sheep are "mule" breed and have an orange mark on their back. The sheep are known to be rugged and at this time it is unknown if the sheep have wandered off or have been stolen.
’The southern policing team are aware, however, of several agricultural thefts in the south of the island over the last 18 months or so and we are keeping an open mind as to the disappearance of the sheep.
’While this may seem trivial to some, the impact on farmer’s finances can build up.’
Walkers, especially in the south, are asked to keep an eye open for any wandering sheep with orange marks on their back.
Any information should be passed to PC Rebekah Collings at Castletown police station on 822222.
