A 17-year-old man from Eairy has pleaded not guilty to possession of a prohibited article in a public place.

Jamie Gelling, of Foxdale Road, is accused of having a small samurai sword and had the case against him adjourned until June 7 when a pre-trial review will take place.

Bail was granted in the sum of £500.
