A 32-year-old Port Erin scooter rider has been fined £910 for three motoring offences.
Kyle Young, of Rowany Villas, admitted having no driving licence, no insurance, and no vehicle licence.
Magistrates also endorsed his licence with six points.
Prosecuting advocate Hazel Carroon told the court that police received an anonymous report on June 3 of an untaxed scooter with no insurance.
They went to Young’s home address and found that his provisional licence had expired in November 2019.
His tax had expired in February 2021 and although he had insurance, this was invalidated by the fact that he didn’t have a valid licence.
Young declined the use of the duty advocate and opted to represent himself in court.
Magistrates fined him £650 for the insurance offence, £160 for having no tax, and £100 for having no driving licence.
He was also ordered to pay £50 costs and will pay all amounts at a rate of £50 per month.
