A Douglas man accused of being involved in a stabbing at Hillside Avenue has appeared in court via video link from the prison.
Thomas James McBurnie, aged 21, of Cronk y Berry, Douglas, is charged with malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The wounding offence can only be heard at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
The case is scheduled to be committed to the higher court on August 15.
The court heard that McBurnie is due to be sentenced for other offences in summary court on July 4.
No pleas have been entered to the wounding charge.
No bail application was made and he was remanded in custody.
