Police and wardens will be making regular visits to a nature reserve following reports of antisocial behaviour.
Over the past few months numerous incidences of contraventions of the Ayres Bylaws are being reported on a daily basis along with suspected drug activity in the area of the Ayres Nature reserve.
The Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team said: ’Police and wardens will be making regular visits to the area moving forward and any offences will be dealt with robustly.
’Please make yourself aware of the bylaws in the area and help to protect our wildlife and enjoy our Islands nature in a sensible and sustainable manner.’
Main bylaws:
*No camping
*No fires
*Dogs to be kept on leads from 1st April to the 31st July
*Specific areas prohibit access to any land by persons, vehicles and animals and will be clearly marked with notices.
A contravention of these bylaws can result in a fine of up to £2,500.
