Bonwick hit the rear of a van which propelled it into another vehicle in front and caused the four-vehicle collision. One of the drivers was said to have suffered a cracked sternum and ribs in the crash.
When interviewed, Bonwick told police he was going to college and that he did not see any brake lights come on on the vehicle in front.
However, dash cam footage that the vehicle’s brake lights did come on before the accident.
In his postal admission Bonwick said that a disqualification may affect his job at a car sales room.
