A teenager has been remanded in custody after admitting he breached a curfew imposed as part of his bail conditions.

Morgan John Ritchie, aged 17, of Derby Road, Douglas, was bailed on October 29 with a condition to obey a curfew between 8pm and 7am.

Prosecuting advocate Rebecca Cubbon told the court that Ritchie told support workers at his Derby Road address he was leaving at 7.35pm to get his bike at the White Hoe Adolescent Unit.

He was told not to leave as he would not be back before his curfew but said: ’I don’t care about the curfew.’

Ritchie was said to have arrived at White Hoe at 8.10pm, then returned to his Derby Road address at 8.50pm where he was arrested.

Defence advocate Jane Gray said that no bail application was being made.

Ms Gray said that the facts were not disputed.

Ritchie is due to be sentenced in summary court on December 10 after previously admitting offences of criminal damage and provoking behaviour.
