A Ramsey teenager has been convicted of selling cannabis.

Sol Kipling, of Cronk Raugh, has admitted possessing £656-worth of the drug with intent to supply.

The 18-year-old will be sentenced on July 24 after a probation report has been completed.

Prosecutor Michael Jelski told the court how, at 7.15pm on June 4, police spoke to Kipling in a parked Ford Fiesta at Groudle Road in Onchan.

The teenager admitted that he was ’weighing out his cannabis’ and scales and snap bags were found in the car.

He was arrested and told police in interview that he was intending to sell the drugs which had a total weight of 32.8 grams.

The court heard that Kipling has no previous convictions but did have a caution for a case of possession of drugs.

Magistrates accepted jurisdiction saying that the case was suitable to remain in summary court for sentencing.

Bail continues in the sum of £250 with conditions that Kipling reside at his home address has probation.
