Three men and two women have appeared in court charged with a joint burglary.

John Martin Booker, aged 26, of Osborne Grove, Douglas, Kyle Michael Hardy, aged 17, of Glen Darragh Road, Glen Vine, and Simon David Lomax, aged 35, of Demesne Road, Douglas, all pleaded guilty to the charge.

Tasmin Paige Melissa Pearce, aged 18, of Osborne Grove, Douglas, and Claire Maria Keig, aged 39, of Demesne Road, Douglas, are both yet to enter pleas as psychological reports are awaited.

Booker, Hardy and Lomax admitted taking part in the burglary at an address in Christian Road, Douglas on May 14.

Jewellery, watches, a laptop, a DVD player, ornaments, alcohol, collectible coins and notes, passports, and collectible photographs were all stolen during the incident. The total value of the items was said to be in the region of £8,000.

The case in respect of the three men was adjourned until July 25, while the women will appear again on August 8.
