Firefighters freed a casualty trapped in a car following a crash.

Crews from Peel and Kirk Michael were called to the single vehicle collision on the Poortown Road near to Peel shortly before 4pm on Sunday following reports that someone was trapped inside.

Firefighters assisted paramedics to remove the casualty and transfer them to a waiting ambulance for further treatment.

Emergency services were in attendance for about 30 minutes.
