Police are investigating a crash in which a passenger was left injured.The female passenger was trapped in the vehicle following the collision on Patrick Road near Peel at 6.10am today.

Police said the male driver left the scene before the emergency services arrived.They issued an urgent appeal to locate him believing he may have injuries. He has since been found and has been helping police with their inquiries.Fire crews helped free the casualty after assisting paramedics who carried out precautionary checks.The road between the Slieau Whallian junction and Patrick Corner was closed for some time following the collision.
