Two casualties had to be cut free from their cars following a crash near Archallagan plantation today (Saturday).

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle collision on Foxdale Road at about 2.30pm.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended.

Fire crews from Douglas and Peel  used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove doors and a roof to make access for ambulance crews to extricate two casualties from their vehicles. 

Emergency services were in attendance for about two hours. 

The road was shut for about four hours while police carried out an accident investigation.
