The police are warning people not to fall for fraudsters who have been targeting people in the Isle of Man.
In the first, residents have received telephone calls from people purporting to be from UK Customs and Excise asking them to pay an outstanding debt.
Police say that anyone who gets such a call should put the phone down.
The second scam is in the form of a letter.
It comes from telling and says the recipient that they have won £1 million in the Spanish Lottery and need to provide your bank details to claim.
Again, that’s nonsense.
