Two people are in hospital after being cut from a car this lunchtime (Thursday).

The two-vehicle incident took place shortly after midday at the junction of Spring Valley Industrial estate on Cooil Road, Braddan.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.

Hydraulic cutting equipment and stabilisation apparatus was used as the casualties were removed from the car.

The road remains closed while both vehicles are recovered.
