Police say they have identified the man who was found dead in central Douglas on Monday evening.
They have confirmed that the deceased is a 43-year-old local man.
A spokesman said: ’Trained officers are linking with the family and offering support.
’We will release the male’s name in due course as this allows the family some privacy to come to terms with this sad news.'Our sympathies and condolences are with them at this sad time.’

Police were called to the area of Church Road Marina at about 7pm on Monday following reports of an unresponsive man found injured on the ground.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Inquiries into the unexplained death are continuing.
