Police want to trace witnesses after a garden wall was damaged when it was struck by a vehicle.

The incident took place at the junction of Vicarage Road and Meadow Crescent in Douglas at some point over the weekend.

Police said the driver left with the scene without informing the owner of the wall who will be left with a significant bill to repair the damage.

Officers believe that the vehicle involved will have significant visible impact damage and are keen to trace the driver of a medium sized blue panel van that was seen in the area at the time the incident is suspected to have occurred. Witnesses are urged to contact police headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
