The fire service will soon be recruiting for full-time and on-call firefighters.

’Come and try it’ sessions will be held between 6.15pm and 8pm on September 15 and 28 at Douglas’s station on Peel Road.

People will be able to experience the hose running, the fitness bleep test, and breathing apparatus parts of recruiting.

Anyone over 18 can take part and also chat to serving firefighters and discuss any queries they may have about recruitment.
