A 25-year-old Douglas woman has been convicted of two assaults of police officers.
Sarah Anne Marsden, of Derby Square, admitted the offences as well as being drunk and disorderly and damaging property.
Prosecutor Michael Jelski told magistrates how, on May 29 at 11.20pm, police were called to Hague Crescent after a report of Marsden staggering down the road.
Officers tried to get her to stay with family or friends but she refused, swearing at them and becoming aggressive.

She continued swearing as she was arrested and, when put in the back of a police van, was said to have taken off her shoes and tried to use the laces to strangle herself.
She then took off her T-shirt and tried to do the same thing before spitting at one officer, with the spittle landing on his vest.
She was granted police bail but then on June 11 at 5.49am, officers were called to a property in Derby Square where Marsden had smashed a fire alarm despite there being no fire.
She was found in a flat there smelling of alcohol and became aggressive, attempting to punch and kick police officers.
Marsden then bit the back of the hand of a woman officer.
The case was adjourned until July 24 so that a probation report can be prepared before sentencing.
Bail was granted in the sum of £250 with conditons that Marsden live at her home address, not enter licensed premises, buy or be sold alcohol and contact probation.
