A Ramsey woman has been fined £275 for being drunk and disorderly.
Rachel Marie Christian, whose age was not given in court, of Queen’s Pier Road, was also ordered to pay £125 prosecution costs.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the court that police were called to a domestic incident at Albert Street in Ramsey on October 16 at 9pm.
Police spoke to Christian and she was said to have been belligerent and aggressive.
A large number of wine bottles were around the property and she was said to be unsteady on her feet.
Christian was said to have used foul and abusive language towards police telling them where to go.
She was arrested and continued to be aggressive trying to pull away from police.
Defence advocate Jane Gray said that there had been a family fall out at the house and that Christian was in a very distressed state.
’She admitted she had too much to drink and is embarrassed and sorry for the way she has acted,’ said the advocate. Magistrates ordered Christian to pay the fine and costs at a rate of £10 per week deducted from benefits.
