Amy Burns, aged 39, of Harcroft Meadows, Douglas, has appeared before magistrates charged with an act against public justice.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on July 14, 2020, and can be heard only at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

She was represented in court by advocate Stephen Wood.

Prosecuting advocate Barry Swain said that an adjournment was sought to allow time for committal papers to be prepared.

The case will be committed to the higher court on October 28.

Bail was granted in the sum of £500 with conditions to live at her home address, not contact the complainants or make any mention of them on social media, and not leave the island without court consent.
