A 21-year-old woman who cut a bouncer’s lip and face using her shoes has admitted disorderly behaviour on licensed premises.
Shynia Forrester-McElevey, of Tynwald Close, St John’s, had a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm against her withdrawn.
She will be sentenced on January 7 after a probation report has been completed.
Prosecuting advocate Roger Kane told the court that Forrester-McElevey was in Jaks on Loch promenade on November 1 at 12.20am when she got involved in an argument with another woman. Security staff intervened.
However, Forrester-McElevey then turned her attention to one of the bouncers swinging at him with her shoes in her hand.
She struck him three times in the face causing a cut to his lip and another under his eye.
She was ejected from the bar and later arrested.
Mr Kane said that it was accepted that Forrester-McElevey had her shoes off before the incident so she had not removed them to use.
The prosecutor also said that it had not been a case of her swinging back and launching strikes at the man.
Forrester-McElevey was said to have written a letter of apology to the bouncer.
Defence advocate Jim Travers asked for an adjournment to get character references for his client and for the probation report to be prepared.
