To mark the end of Dying Matters Week, Isle of Man Freethinkers is inviting people to join members in their meeting at the Douglas Bay Yacht Club on the Tongue, at 6pm on Sunday, May 14.
Dying Matters Week encourages people to talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement and to make plans for the end of life.
The Freethinkers have invited several interesting speakers, including a funeral director and a humanist celebrant to make short presentations about their work involving death and bereavement.
They hope this will lead to a question and answer session and discussion.
Dying Matters produces two short leaflets prompting people to think about where they would like to die, writing a will, organ donation and their funeral wishes. Copies will be available at the meeting on May 14.
Isle of Man Freethinkers provide celebrants for non-religious funerals, and due to the increasing demand for such services, are currently training some new celebrants.
