Everyone has the chance to wade through a shower of brightly coloured bubbles next week.

Bubble Rush 2019 takes place at Mooragh Park in Ramsey on Saturday, May 4, and you can run, jog, walk, skip, dance or toddle through the foam as it’s fired out by bubble stations - reaching heights of up to four feet - along mile-long route.

Anyone can take part in the charity fun run which is raising money for Hospice Isle of Man with those in wheelchairs and pushchairs also welcome to join in the fun.

Anne Mills, chief executive officer at Hospice Isle of Man, said: ’Anyone who has been to Bubble Rush before will know it is great fun and, quite literally, an ocean of bright bubbles. I’ve no doubt this year it will be bigger, better and bubblier than ever!

’Every penny counts towards the care and services we provide our patients, and innovative fundraising efforts such as this really help us generate the vital funds we need to do this.

’This incredible community event appeals to so many whether you are a serious runner, child, family or group of people up for a great day out,

’Bubble Rush is something anyone can get involved in, whilst supporting our Hospice to be sustainable and fit for the future.

The Steam Packet is assisting with the cost of travel for a UK-based adventure company, which is providing the charity with the necessary equipment to run the event.

Steam Packet chief executive Mark Woodward said: ’Hospice Isle of Man makes such a difference to so many people on the island at a very difficult time in their lives. We are delighted to support the charity and this wonderful fun run and I’m sure everyone involved will have a great time.’

Registration will be at 11am ahead of a midday start and participants can complete the course as many times as they like before 2pm.

It costs £20 per adult to enter, £10 per child, with group discounts available and each participant will receive a branded Bubble Rush T-shirt and a medal at the finish line.

Refreshments will also be available.
