Mindfulness will be the subject of an event held at Waterstone’s book shop, Douglas in March.
Mike Kewley will present the event and is a locally renowned teacher of the ancient practice.
Special guests will join him to discuss mindfulness and its success in helping people to tune in to the present, rather than reliving the past - or anticipating the future.
Mr Kewley said: ’We will be celebrating the rich literature of Mindfulness - from traditional wisdom to cutting-edge neuroscience.’
Meditation teacher Richard Cox, restauranteur Joan Mowat, mindfulness teacher Julie Bibby, author and artist Laura Espinosa and student of mindfulness Alex Cowley will speak at the event.
’They will share the teachings, poetry and prose which continue to inspire and motivate their own journey into the heart of the present moment,’ said Mr Kewley.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 23. Tickets are £5 each and are available from Waterstone’s,
All ticket proceeds will go towards the local Leo the Lions charity.
