It takes place from Thursday (August 22) to Saturday (August 24) and Tuesday to Thursday next week from 9am to 4pm.
The director of the Central Registry, Ed Clague, said: ’The exhibition was first shown at the Tynwald Library, in Douglas, during Tynwald Week, marking 40 years since the Manx parliament celebrated its millennium.
’Visitor numbers led to a request from Ramsey Town Commissioners to host the exhibition during the Festival [of Motorcycling].
The exhibition shows the key organisational figures, the special events and projects, and the succession of VIP visits, culminating in Queen Elizabeth II presiding over the Tynwald Day ceremony.
The voyage of Odin’s Raven from Trondheim to Peel, undertaken in honour of the island’s Viking heritage, is also recalled.
