The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice.

The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Dry with bright or sunny intervals. Highest temperature around 8°C with a light to moderate south-easterly wind.

It will turn increasingly cloudy tonight with extensive hill fog developing, and the threat of some light drizzle towards the end of the night. Lowest temperature near to 7°C with a mainly moderate south to southeast wind.

Christmas Day will cloudy but mostly dry with just a few spots of drizzle from time to time, extensive hill fog and the risk of some mist around southern coast. Mild with temperatures of 10°C in the moderate to fresh south to southeast wind.

Remaining cloudy on Boxing day but mostly dry with temperatures reaching up to 10 or 11°C at best in the moderate to fresh southwest wind.
