Ramsey Commissioners has appointed its first ’tenant representative’.

Catherine Stark will be an intermediary between tenants and the commissioners, acting in an advisory role in helping shape and determine future housing policy and services.

A spokesman for the commissioners said: ’The tenant representative will act as the ’eyes and ears’ within our community, helping to shape and determine the future provision of housing services such as housing management, housing options and housing repairs.

’We will also be consulting with her to gain her opinion on matters including communal areas, estate improvements, neighbourhood issues and environmental issues.’
