One of the most famous voices in classical and stage musical performance will appear on the Isle of Man next week.
Alfie Boe will return to the island for the first time since 2011 to perform at the Villa Marina on Tuesday, November 6, with special guest singer Lauren Samuels.
Alfie’s exceptional singing voice has led him to become one of Britain’s biggest-selling and most popular vocalists of his generation.
A hugely successful recording artist, the classical crossover star reached Double Platinum status in 2016 with the Christmas number one album ’Together’, made with fellow stage singing star Michael Ball OBE.
The pair returned in 2017 with yet another No 1 album, ’Together Again’, which picked up two Classic Brit awards.
He rose to national acclaim with his performance as Jean Valjean in the special 25th anniversary production of the musical Les Miserable at the O2 arena, London, in 2010.
More recently he has appeared in productions as diverse as Classic Quadrophenia, where he was chosen by Pete Townshend to play the lead role of Jimmy.
Earlier this year, he releases his latest album, ’As Time Goes By’, a collection of songs from the 1940s.
He is again joined by Lauren Samuels, who was first seen appearing on the BBC talent show Over The Rainbow in 2010. She has since appeared on the West End shows Bend it Like Beckham, Vampirette and the Queen musical We Will Rock You.
