The MS Society Isle of Man is hoping to attract more participants to this year’s Wheel & Walk fundraiser.

The event takes place at the NSC, in Douglas, on Saturday, May 4, from 10.15am to 11.45am.

The beauty of this event, which involves doing circuits of the cycle track, is all those affected by MS can also take part

’Last year we had 95 people take part,’ said branch chairman Derek Patience.

’This year, we’re aiming to get over 100 people, but also try and get as many people as possible with MS to take part.

’Now I know that not everyone will be able to do it, but the last two Wheel & Walks were great examples of many people with MS taking a "can do" attitude.

’And they were supported greatly by family and friends who not only gave a helping push along the way but who also helped make the Wheel & Walk a friendly, sociable occasion.’

He added: ’All we need now is lots of people to take part and a nice sunny day on May 4.’
