The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for the Isle of Man today.
It will be generally wet today and becoming windy, the rain often heavy with the risk of localised flooding, the weather forecasters say.
There will be strengthening south to southwest winds that will bring waves and debris onto exposed coastal roads and promenades around high tide early this afternoon.
It will become less windy by this evening with the rain becoming patchier and lighter for a while. Temperatures 12 or 13 Celsius at best.
Heavy rain returns late evening and tonight, with strong winds, then it becomes mostly dry later in the night. Minimum temperature 5°C.
There will be bright or sunny intervals on Thursday with some showers. The strong southwest wind will swing westerly and decrease in the afternoon. Top temperatures only around 8 Celsius.
Mostly dry on Friday with sunny intervals and light to moderate west-northwest breezes.
